Default Running at 84ºC 184ºF ECT is bad for engine?

Hi, i have two civics, d16z6 turbo and d16z6 na. I installed in both cold thermostats making 85ºC 184ºF at normal working temp instead of 94ºC 201ºF
I installed this thermostats and thermocontacts to run in a lower temp.

Is it bad for the engine? could damage the internals? the temp oscillates between 84 and 95ºC when i driving hard.

What is better for the engine, run at 84ºC or 95ºC like stock?

Either one is fine. I dont run any of the 'cooler' temp stuff. Factory spec for me no matter what the build.

IIRC Z1 t-stats are 82c and the rest are 78c.

you sure you got "colder" t-stats not "hotter"?
