Probably the gauge itself, do you have or can you borrow a multimeter? 94

The first thing I would do is check the alarm install, was it done properly?
Does the alarm work?

I would pull the cluster and test the tach signal, [blue] there, that way if there is no signal you know it's not the tach and, if you haven't already, test for tach signal at distributor and if there is tach signal there, find the break.

On the other hand, you have a good tach signal at the cluster plug, find a new tach/cluster. 94

That's why you buy car parts from the Auto Parts stores. At least they have a warrenty. Sometimes you do get what you pay for...

i checked the wires going to the tach, there is power, a friend of mine has a cluster for 40 bucks, im gona pick that up this week, the alarm was done at a shop and does work. also on the dizzy, only reason why i bought it online was because of the high prices for them and didnt have the cash for it, plus at my job they wanted $285 for a dizzy. so ordered a new one at my job, and took the defective one and droped it in the new dizzy box, and defected it
