Default Rod bearing question

I have heard from some people that if you use eagle H-beam rods then you use all yellow code rod bearings no mater what the crank code is stamped. Is this true??

Default Re: Rod bearing question (KillerBee18)

using looser tolerances on the rod bearings reduces friction freeing up some hp, but is recommended more on a race basis not for longevity..(maybe thats where your question came from?)..but i do know that u are supposed to count the big end on the eagles as a #3..and then use the letter on the crank to get the coresponding bearing just like OEM....
