Default Rocker Arm

What are the advantages of having a balanced and lightweight rocker arm?

Default Re: Rocker Arm (ILR)

Ok I just did a little bit of research.

The Rocker arm is a Reciprocating part. (Moves foward and backward)

The idea of balancing it is to balance it with the rest of the rocker arms in the head assembly.

Now how does a balance of rocker arms help anything.

If I'm correct, the rocker arm assemblies are all independent of each other. So what does it matter that a rocker arm from the exhaust side of cylinder one is the same weight as a rocker arm from the intake side of cylinder four?
