If I do a right hand drive conversion, will I be pulled over???

is it legal or is there some thing I need to do first?

It all depends on where you live. I am going to be converting my car this spring and already checked with local laws and they seem fine with it, and i also called my insurance to see what they would think and they thought it would be fine they just want to make sure it was done in a proffessional manner etc. Just take lots of pictures, keep papers etc.

 

I haven't checked everywhere (or anywhere for that matter), but all of the same components are on the car, they're just mounted in a different spot. The law would have to specifically say you can't drive on the right side, and I don't think the 3 people in your state that may have rhd are going to get any attention from lawmakers. lol

my buddy has a rhd 240 but he gets it smogged from the seller he bought it from...so i'm not sure how they do it...he says he's been pulled over but he has papers so cops can't do ****...

 

was it converted? or is it an actual jdm 240? cuz what does he have papers for?
