Resurface or replace rotors?
The front rotors on My girlfriend's Civic EX sedan are a bit warped. She called Midas and they told her that "Honda brake rotors are kinda thin and we might not be able to resurface them." (I'd do the work myself, but I live downtown and don't have a garage.)
Is this true, or does he just want to sell us new rotors? The car has 43,000 miles on it and under braking, there's noticable vibration.
What do you think?

gotta use a micrometer, see how much you can take off; and check in the helms to see if they will be too thin when turned...
It will depend on how much they have been turned before, if any, and how warped they are. I have had rotors turned at the local shop and runs around $10 per rotor if taken the car. You can buy new brembo blanks for like $28 plus shipping from Coletti.
The only way to know if rotors are not "turnable" is to measure them..
in my experience.. I have been able to turn honda rotors twice..
before they would be below the limit.
If there are little black spots in the rotor.. like spots on a cheetah...
.. Trash them they are no good at that point.. but if it looks ok.. then see if they can be turned..
