Default replacing piston rings?

i have total seal piston rings in my high comp ls/vtec, do you think its worth it replacing it with oem rings? i have a 12:1 ls/vtec and my compression right now is 180,190,200,220.. the motor only has about 2000+ miles.. i was wondering if it was worth replacing them and if so would i need new rod and main bearings?
tia

Why do you think they need to be replaced? Did you do a leakdown test?

Are you burning any oil, any blue smoke?

What cams are you running??? I would definately leakdown the motor before you start pulling it apart.... High lift/duration cams will drop the overall dynamic compression therefore reading low on the PSI.... Peace

i heard total seal will rob hp, i'm not buring any oil i will do a leak down test soon but i'm pretty sure its the rings.. i'm running skunk stage 2 cams, ive heard others running similar setups and getting 300+psi across the board!! so do you guys think thats really low for that setup?

I doubt you have would 300+psi across the board running SK2st2 cams.... Your static compression would have very very high to achieve this... Those cams generate a lot of overlap which intern bleeds off cylinder pressure... Peace

With 12:1 c.r., I'm sure 300psi is realistic. I'm hitting 270psi across the board w/ 11.5:1 c.r.

i get over 315 with toda C cams which have larger pri/sec lobes than skunk cams.
remember when doing a comp test its not in vtec
