Default replacing lost motion assemblies

when replacing the lma's what exactly has to be removed to get to them? do i need to remove the head or am i still able to to keep it on? do i need to remove the valves and valve springs?

you need to remove the cam caps, cams, rocker arms and shafts. You can do this with the head still bolted to the block
