I have a 93 CX w/stock motor.
Is it more complicated then just taking the old screw out and putting the new one in?
Do I only need to purchase the new idle adjustment screw?
The owner before me must have stripped the screw, and he put a small piece of rubber inside the hole so that the screw could create new threads.

Huh? Not sure what you mean by this but, I had a "cover" over both of my screws.....do you have a cover of some sort over your Idle adjustment screW?

No, it is not a cover. . .it appears as though the "original" idle adjustment screw was stripped. . .so the mechanic tried to replace the screw w/o buying the actual screw.
As far as I can tell, he used a smaller screw that was probably laying around his shop, and to make sure that the hole where the screw fits is sealed, he popped in some sort of rubber gasket. He then drilled the screw into the rubber piece.
The other day, I tried to increase my idle, and I turned the screw seven times before the idle changed.

So what exactly do I need. . .just the screw?
And how do I replace it?
And where should my idle be on my stock 93 CX motor?

I know that someone on here has replaced this screw. . .is it really as easy as taking the old one out and putting the new one in?
YUP, just unscrew it, it will come out. You might wanna change or lube the rubber o-ring on the new (used) one b4 u put it in. Bonehead mechanic shouldve just cut the groove deeper so a flathead could fit
