Remove power steering belt?
1: Open Manual.
2: Commence reading.
BTW: The removal of the belt is worth 5-7hp at the wheels. An ITR removed his and dynoed it. The post is titled "AEBS Typhoon" or something to that effect. If you get desperate and don't plan to ever re-install it, simply cut it.
**Team Cracka beat me to it.**

im not sure what car you have, nor the location, but you should have three belts.
1) alternator belt - connects to crank pulley and alternator. alternator has bronze/copper colored coils all inside of it (not hard to distinguish).
2) ac belt - connects crank pulley to ac compressor. ac compressor should have two hoses coming out of it (they might even be hard lines) and they go to the radiator looking thing for the ac.
3) power steering belt - connects crank pulley to ps pump. the pump should have two hoses coming out... one going to the ps fluid resovoir. shouldnt be too hard to find. just cut it... a new one is like $10

Ok thanks guys. Driving w/o it is just awesome.
Takes more effort to turn the wheel, but no problem for me, i'm not what you call scrwny...
Don't have to turn wheel as much to take sharp turns.
car feels much more responsive!!!
Now i'm going to buy the manual rack, but what model of manual riacks will fit on my 93 del sol??

If you really want to remove the parasitic drag from those pumps, remove AC too, then you can run a light weight OEM CTR pully which only drives the alternator.
You'll also notice gains if you remove all the power steering and air conditioning related parts. There's probably 50lbs or so worth of stuff.

It's going to give much more feedback at all speeds but it's going to be a P.I.T.A. making sudden transitions like sharp left to right turns. I'm sure you already see what it's like at a dead stop

A manual rack from a 93 civic CX hatch. Direct bolt up.

lol, nah definitely not 50lbs. Probably more like 30-35lbs. The PS pump weighs about 10lbs, and the AC condenser weighs about as much as my turbo (16lbs). Next time I go to my storage facility, I'll weigh them both and tell you guys the numbers.

, but I'm talking all the metal lines, PS fluid cooler, AC condenser, the AC part behind the firewall, and of course replacing the power rack with a manual one.
