Default how do you remove alternator belt?

I got my alternator out but I think I should replace the belt while I'm at it. I don't see how it could possibly come off without removing the other belt there...

any suggestions?

from looking at the service manual I'm under the impression that the alternator belt is the third one in so I guess to install a new one I'm going to have to remove the P/S and A/C belts to access the alternator belt.

So my question is can I loosen the crankshaft pulley and slip the belts off that way?

And also where (can I get) and what kind of tool can I use to measure so I have the proper belt deflection and tension?

nope the best way is to loosen the adjuster bolts on both the p/s pump and the alt, sliding both towards the engine should allow enough movement to slip both belts off

I never use a tool to do that. I believe that if you can push the belt more than 1/4", its not tight enough. Obviously, if you can even push it, it too tight. It's not that difficult.

Yes you have to remove PS and AC to get the alt. belt off. Its easy the PS has a bolt that keeps it in place, just loosen that and tap the PS pump lightly to move it and slip the belt off. AC you must loosen the tensioner enough to get the belt off. Then alt also has a bolt keeping it tight near the top, loosen that and its off. Replace all the belts while youre in there. Also check the pullies for noise and loseness/ roughness.
