Default refitting valves quertion. (grinding paste)

hello everybody

i need to grind my valves in with grinding paste.
i got the CHEMICH-O GRINDING PASET. it has two "types" of paste in it
"coarse this end" and "fine this end" which one with which one i need to do the first grind... ?

First with coarse after that wipe it off and then with fine, worked for me.

I would start with the fine so that you can see how the valves are sitting. than if you have a thin area hit it again with the course to try to cut it in more. Than go back to the fine for a final touch up.

If you are asking how to do it. I put a small amount on the valve and than place the valve back in the head. spin it and than wipe it off and check the seat area.

if you think about it, youd know that there would be no point in using the fine first...

you need a valve lapping tool also. its like a suction cup on a stick...

I like to use the fine first so that I am not cutting into something I dont need too. It is just a small extra step that helps insure a good job when done. Others like to just jump in head first and that might work for them but I was taught to take it slow and make sure it is done right.
