oversized valves enlarge the valve opening area, and allow more air to enter the combustion chamber. An excellent upgrade for turbo applications, so long as you have the fuel management to support it.

i don't understand how this is possible.....is the valve longer or does the head of the valve have a larger circumference...can you explain with a little more detail please?

so by getting larger valves you would have to machine the head (enlarge the valve ports) correct?

yeah, I'd think most shops that can do a valve job could do that, too...since it's really just an EXTREME resurfacing, hehe

as I understand it there is a downside to oversized valves.... it takes away quench area, which is what sandwiches the air into the center of the chamber for a more complete combustion. Other than that it flows more air which is always good. My friend just had 2mm oversize valves stuffed into his head, I will let you guys know how it works out.
