Default REF TICKET and FIX IT Question

OK recently i got a ticket for my exhaust system (Straight pipe no cat, lucky he didnt check)but the tickets only for sound and stickers on front window... the cop pulls me over and tells me its all illegal and that the stickers are sign off but the Exhaust is State Ref for noise or something, whatever but yea i went to the Ref and passed with 88dB and then took all my stickers off which was no big deal to me... so now i was all ready to get the sign off then a court paper comes in the mail saying ive got to appear in front of the judge and my bail is like a $985 without correction and $885 with correction...so now ill get it all corrected when its time but...my questions are is that the real fee ive got to pay? is there anyway to lower it? and when i go to the station to get the officer sign does anyone know if they can ask to pop my hood?? because its all illegal under there and i dont want to get there for a sign off and end up with more tickets...thanks to anyone who can help

That doesnt sound right?? When I had to take my car to the state Ref, they signed me off, I paid $30 fine and that was that. Maybe California is starting to get more strict?? I swear, California is a police state!!

Did you get them fixed in the time alloted on the ticket? If not there is a fta fee(failure to appear)

Might even be a warrant out for your arrest too.

I'm not trying to be a smart ***. But I want to know if I am right, for in the future.

Hey I got a warning for exibition of speed yesterday I was at a stop behind a jackass that was sleeping so I thought I would wake him up and spun the tires for a second, not even moving a foot. The cop said that it is a misdemeanor and he could take my license. Did you all know that? Sorry for the spelling. Hope that makes you feel better sireg6. and sorry for the spelling.
