Hey guys i have a 88 Crx Si with a 1st gen b16a with a j1 cable transmission. I'm currently looking into clutches before i buy one. i dont want to waste my money and get some cheap one, know what i mean?
What model do i have to order a clutch for?
Do i have to use a aftermarket flywheel?
i was looking into buying a stage 2 clutch, but i'm not sure if i should get a stage 2 or just get a stage 1.
My car is pretty much going to get built soon down the road so might as well, start off getting parts that i need to replace since i'm going to have the motor out.
i'm planning for 200 whp all motor
so what clutch do you guys recommend me?

dude if your going to daily it then ill go for a exedy stage 1, i have it and i love it...its rated up to 230whp (im not sure about that so if someone wants to correct me go ahead
) but if you are going to just track it...go with a act 6 puck

a clutch is not rated by hp. clutches hold torque not hp. but go with act

With that minimal power i would go with ACT 2600 6 puck sprung hub...will be a good clutch for on the street and will hold the power and torque and have room later to increase power and have no worries...
Read some stuff, This guy wrote a 101 article but clearly in reading it you can see he stands for Action clutch(stay away). But alot of the points he makes are very good about the other products... anyways here.
Oh and if you were going to get Clutch Masters, get Competition Clutch instead, it was started by the guy who owned clutch masters. Same design... Better price.
