Yeah! I know the original factory seat are always great to have. After seeing those video i don't think i could ever want to sit any of those seats. I might as well put customs suede or leather over the seat to give a decent look.

 

I lost control at 120mph, skidded 579 feet on the road before jumping a ditch and flying through the woods in my Corbeau A4's with 4-point Corbeau harness, hitting trees on every side like a pinball, and coming to a stop from multiple rear impacts, and my seats were perfectly fine afterwards. I pull the upholstery off of them to inspect them, and nothing was twisted/broked/deformed. I know ONE company I can depend on for safe products...

Hmm. Wow, only thing I can think of is DO NOT use a roll bar with a harness bar with reclinables.

 

they snap back for a reason. say you have no roll bar, and your car turns over, if your seat doesnt break backwards, what happens to your neck? its broken
which is why running 4 point harnesses on a harness bar without a roll bar is NOT SAFE because you are stuck in the upright position when then car rolls andyour neck is broken.
they design these seats to break in crashes, i think that the recaro did perform much better in that the driver stayed more in the seat than the bride, he seems to slide backwards leaving the seat and his head hit that net. in the recaro seat his head seemed to stay pretty close with the seat back which is what its there for, neck support.

Love it how people look at the test at face value. Plus this test is near 10 years old? The new lock mechanism in the Bride seats is far sturdier but performs in the same manner, to transition the seated person backwards. It's like a crumple zone in a car, if the front of the car absolutely mangles at a 50km/h crash it does not imply the car is weak, it implies the crumple zone did its job.

I'd be far more concerned with seats that remained fixed in place. If hit from behind a fully rigid seat will absorb the impact the transfer that to you, shoving your head into the wheel or up into the windscreen.

Pretty happy watching that test.
