seats... Corbeau ForzaII/Fx1 vs Sparco Evo3
Anyone have any benefits to the sparco over the corbeau's? The corbeaus are like $300 cheaper and appear to have very similar design. I have not sat in the corbeaus so i am not sure how comfortable they are, but i'd imagine for a bucket they are just as comfy as the sparco's.

Yeah I have sat in a Corbeau racing bucket (don't know what model it was, but it was all black) a few times at a local import shop, and they are pretty comfy and feel great. I don't know compared to the Sparco seats though I have never sat in those. Well hope this helps. Jordan

I've sat in both and owned Corbeau CR1's and I'll tell you from first hand experience that the Corbeau's are incredible and equally as nice as the Sparcos.

Just remember that red will fade. If it is garage kept you should be fine. Both of these companies are very good at making seats but if you want to be a show off get Bride.

i jsut bought a set of carbeau legacy's, and let me tell you they are the ****!! so comfy, no reason to pay xtra for sparcos, corbeaus are jsut as good, or even better, in my eyes, than the sparcos.

Re: (b18bEG)
These are all great things... I really want some better seats, my ex seats blow! I really have never wanted a non-reclinable nor have i thought i could fit in one till i sat in the evo3 at nopi. I loved how secure i was in that seat and how it felt. I still debate on which will be better for me, but i really want something supportive yet comfortable.

Re: (ConeS)
also, since i'm not completely ready for a roll cage and harnesses... would a stock seat belt be ok to use with any of these seats?

What's your waist size? You must be a big boy to be considering evo3's. Anyway, the evo is fiberglass framed, which gives it some "give" in an impact, the forza is steel tube frame. It's completely rigid and weighs a bit more as well. The new fiberglass corbeau looks promising, but i'd rather spend the extra $150 and get sparco.

i'm 6'2 250 lbs with a 38 waist, so yea i'm a big boy. You make a good point about the fiberglass vs the steel frame which settles it between forza and fx1, but it isnt exactly $150 difference. FX1=250 shipped and Ev03=559 plus shipping.

Hmm, I was just browsing around, and it looks like all the sparco dealers that had evo's for $470 or so jacked the prices back up for some reason. Go for the fx1 then, just make sure you sit in it first. $250 is a steal.

Sparcos are so much nicer. The quality of the seat and the material is noticeably better. The evo's are very confortable. I have the evos in my R. I love them. The evo 2 is the same as the evo just a little wider for biger people.

Yea I am not sure where to sit in one....you see there are NO shops in SC and i'm not even sure of a shop in GA that would carry them either. It is a tough thing to figure out. Perhaps if i go back to sema again this year i can figure it out.

Re: (BigZ88)
I drive around in an A4 all day long and like it. I do NOT on the otherhand like that I can't see a damn thing in my drivers side blind spot because of the big "wings" on the top of the seat. I could also have dealt with a little more lumbar cushion..oh well..got it cheap and its 1000 times better than a stock seat!
Edit: Just reread the post..don't even think about an A4 then..and DEFINATELY make sure you sit in the seat before you buy it...thats a good deal of money to shell out for something that had BETTER fit..or you'll be miserable every time you drive the car!

I've owned a few Sparco's before, but after I sat in the Corbeau's, I liked both. I always though the Corbeau's were a tad bit wider.

Man im 5'11" and have a 40 waist size. I just fell in love with the evo2 seats. Fits me like a glove. I dont even mind that its upright and non-adjustable. The position just fits me really good. Sorry i have never tried a carbeau though.
