Whats up Honda-techers.....Is the skunk 2 intake manifold worth it? Supposedly you get 8-15 HP......also does anyone know what would be the intake manifold of choice for a turbo.........thanks

 

A couple of my friends have it and have no complaints and are very happy with it. Makes your vtec kick in real hard an nice.

 

great upgrade for B18C and B18A/B owners.
If you have a B16A/B17A/B18C5 then just get an ITR manifold.

 

correct me if im wrong but doesnt the manifold only mae power after 8000 rpm's?

 

the skunk manifold is based on the itr piece, but it has been reworked a lil bit.

garage special, i believe you are thinking of the edelbrock manifold, which is supposed to make power from 7000 to 10000 rpm's. the skunk manifold we put on my friends b18b makes good power throughout the revs, even with the stock 6800 rpm redline.

You won't regret it. I have on on my B16, feels very nice, great gains. 8-15hp is BS though, I felt about 4. It's all part of the food chain though.

 

why did you put a skunk on a b16 why not just use the type r ?

 

Nearly the same price from JHP and Brand identity I guess.
