Default Rattling noise in head when cold

So my motor is back together and running perfect EXCEPT for a weird rattling noise which sounds like its coming from the head near the distributor when cold. When the motor is warm it goes away completely. This happens when you rev it up slightly around 2000-2500 rpm then goes away.

Does anyone have an idea of what it could be? We were thinking valve lash, distributor bearing failing, or LMA?

I'm leaning towards lash because it goes away completely when warm but anyone else care to chime in?

Could also be a bad LMA.

Could a bent rocker shaft cause the rattling?

Don't ask how it got bent because I don't know. We're thinking the machine shop had something to do with it.

how would a bent rocker shaft get in the head? It wouldn't be able to slide in....

It was never removed. Everything was left intact except the cams when sent to the machine shop. It was there for the purpose of checking for straightness and resurfacing.

How loud is the rattle. Sounds funny, but does it kinda sound like a sewing machine? I have an ITR and it rattles a little in the winter. Once it warms up, it goes away. Its probably nothing. What kind of cams? My valves are adjusted fine.

I guess you can say it sounds like a sewing machine. Its more comparable to rocks in a can rattling around. It only does it in the very low rpm range when cold. I only hear it when free revving. I am still using stock GSR cams.

It ends up being that the machine shop didn't fully torque something down after they removed the part for cleaning. The problem has been resolved. Thanks for all of those that replied.
