Raising Rev Limit on B16A2,Tech Questions
I plan on getting the following done and I would like to raise my rev limit.
-Full valvetrain kit, good for up to 13 MM lift, 9500 RPM
-Portflow Ti retainers
-3-angle valve job
-New valve seals
1)Do I need my ecu chipped? I have a vafc and I don't really want to go the hondata route. What are my options?
2)Are cams needed? Should I replace both the intake and exhaust cam or just one? ITR or CTR cams?
3)With the listed headwork, how high should I be able to rev safely?
4)Will a stock b16a2 bottom end hold up with a raised rev limit?
Thanks

1) yes to raise the limit you need something to raise it. i dunno if vafc does it
2)yeah if b16 cams don't have a redline of 9500 they aren't making power up there
3) you should be fine
4)yeah it'll hold up to it just fine
