I bought a cd player/tuner from someone awhile back. Its from an s2000. I just wired up the ground, 12V IGN, 12V batt, and ILLUM. It comes on and the theft light flashes, but the display doesnt come up and say code. im not sure what i should do. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

did you press the CD button - i think thats what it is. Press some of the buttons like AM/FM, CD.

 

i just tried all the buttons, holding for 10 seconds or so. still nothing, grr. thanks for the idea though.

 

anything i could be forgetting? i dont have any of the speakers hooked up to the unit if that matters. any other ideas?

 

i checked all the wired again and +12V battery was only showing 6 and only at "on". so i ran a new wire that tests 12 constant. The cd player continues flashing theft after removing the key now, but no matter what i press i cant get it to say code. or any response other than hearing the cd player turn on and the lights light up. please, and ideas?

you turned your key to II right? (right before start)
ive scared my self several times after installing decks by not doing that.

haha, thanks. i had the ACC wire in the wrong place. Everything is good now. all thats left is figuring out which pins are + and - for which speakers.
