hey idk if this is the right area for this thred but i have a 97 civic dx sedan. i unhooked the stock radio to put in my new one well the new one didnt work so i stuck the stock one back in. i called honda to get the code for the anti theft and she says its not an anti theft radio. the radio wont power on at all. no lights nothin. im thinkin this is why my new one wouldnt turn on. help anyone? lol thanks guys

 

Check the fuses, there are two of them. 94

 

fuses 9 and 4? ya i juss checked those their fine.?

If you radio don't work then something's wrong with wiring or not getting power. Have you ever try putting on the stock radio to see if work before swapping it? Have you check to see if everything hook correctly. You said the fuses are o.k and i hope.

 

ya the radio worked fine before i tried swapping it. but ya the fuses are fine im startin to think its the wiring but i wouldnt kno how to fix that.

 

The fuses for the radio in a 97 Civic are fuse 47 - 7.5A, [hot at all times] in engine bay fuse box, [for radio memory white/blue lead in OEM radio harness] and fuse 28 - 10A, [hot in ACC/RUN] in under dash fuse box, [for radio ACC yellow/red lead in OEM radio harness].

oka honestly i dont know which duses are 4 n 7 under the hood. i looked i juss cant figure out which ones lol. any help?
