Default quick timing light question:

I own a manual for the car but don't have it here with me:

When setting the ignition timing on a 98' d16y8 are there any electrical connections you need to make in the fuse box before setting the timing (to keep the ECU from changing the timing while it is being adjusted)?

If the are any how to threads I would appreciate a link, I searched and found more questions than answers.

I know how to set up a timing light, but would appreciate any civic specific info.

Thanks,
Josh

you should jump the blue service conector behind your glove box, asif you were going to pull a CEL code. Then time it
