quick question on idle issues
hey HT i have a 91 honda civic hatch with a b18b1 swap everything is great except when i start it in the mornings drive somewhere such as burger king for breakfast i park go in and come out to start the car it starts right up but when i put it in reverse and start to back up the rpms bounce at around 1-2000 rpms and then to actually get the car to move i have to rev it up past 2000
(happens in every gear)
im thinking its either the tps sensor or iacv. what does it sound like to you guys?
it doesnt always do it but when it does its hella annoying.
i also have been hearing you can take off and clean the iacv and its suppose to be just as good as new? im not sure i just want the issue resolved.
thanks.

Have you attempted to clean your IACV, or test your TPS? Have you inspected/tested your ignition components? Is the car converted to OBD1? What ECU are you using to run the B18B1?

drive-thru? lol jp.
low coolant/air in cooling system
IACV sticking
FITV - out of adjustment (should be closed when engine is at operating temp.)
ECT malfunction
with any other form of internal/external vacuum leak being a potential cause, although doubtful if the problem does not exist when the engine is at temp.
Check engine light on?
