Default bc3+ noob question.

or more like a brainfart than noob moment

im using.022 headgasket and I never found out how much the head been milled

so ive been trying to recall what I did to set the cam gears when I was building the engine and cant remember **** and why they are set where they are.

so im gonna run through the steps that I think I did to set them and if someone can correct me if I did something wrong please. im taking the car for retune on Thursday due to crappy idle and want him to finally try different cam gear settings.

from the beginning.

all including aftermarket cams are set by cam gears to tdc am I correct?( when cam gears are aligned the cams SHOULD be at tdc)

when I put the t belt on and found tdc which happens to be exactly where the crank pulley tdc mark is the cam gear markings were off
when I align the marks the cam gears are 1.75 degree advanced.
so that sets them at TDC along with the block

then I red about .12 head milling for each degree
the whole time they were advanced 4 degrees total intake and exhaust which I never gave any though to until now assuming that I set them for a reason...

now that I think about it I cant remember if I degreed the pro2s or bc3 cams because I had pro2 first and then decided to go with these.

the question is
after advancing the cam gears 1.75 degree where the cam gear marks align that means the block and the head is now at TDC - 0:0 setting essentially? and I should start from there
hope it makes sense because I see many people have similar results with bc3+ where they have best luck with +4 intake and 0 exhaust
