Default Quick Question About Removing the Head...

when removing the head do you have to get put in new valves, 3 angle valve job and all that stuff related to that...? because thats what my friend does everytime he removes a head? what i want to do is build my botton first because to the weak sleeves and very low compresion ratio... No way!

If the head is in good shape you can leave it exactly how it is.

Remove the head, build your bottom end, drop the head back on. New headgasket isn't a bad idea at that point, but valves, valve job, etc.... not at all necessary.

Have some papers, ect... layed down before you pull it. There is still alot of oil left in the head, and it will make a mess. Make sure you do not spill any on the O2 sensor, it will ruin it.... hehehe
