Default quick headgasket question, ls/vtec

I just picked up my headgasket from the honda dealership, and I want to make sure I got the right one before I take my car apart cause I dont have time to be waiting for the right one...

Here is the honda part #-- 12251-P8R-004, its for a 98-01 CRV (B20B). My friend works there and I gave him the part # for the 01 LS, which is the block I have and they gave me this one which has a different part #. I heard all B-series non-vtec HG's were the same but I want to be 100% sure. Thanks, and I did search but couldnt find exactly what I was looking for.

the best headgasket to use is the one made for the head.

You use the HG for the block when you have an LS/vtec.

Are you sure, or are you just saying that?

Umm, you can ask Golden Eagle if you are unsure. They give a pr3 hg with their conversion kit.

An OEM LS head gasket should be used. The alternative is to use a Golden Eagle LSVTEC head gasket.

And if you did your research you would know that the GE head is a LS head gasket.

Back to the topic, the B20B headgasket is a 84mm bore and the LS block is a 81mm bore.

You need to get the correct one or you'll have nothing but problems!

I already got my cometic cause the OEM LS gasket was $90 and I got mine for $85 shipped. The people at my local honda dealership are morons, they need to have H-T in front of them instead of thier bullshit honda database...
