match the headgasket to the block to avoid leaks

it depends on what lsvtec kit you have. if you have the golden eagle kit, then you need a vtec head gasket. if your head is drilled and tapped for lsvtec, then you use a LS head gasket. all LS head gaskets are the same

ok so while i was loosening the head bolts i found out that the top 4 intake side where loose and i didnt have to use a breaker bar to loosen them, so when i was goin to put the head back on and torque the bolts, the intake side threads where stripped, i started with torquing down to 25 ft. lbs. so how would i get this fixed, should i use helicoil on them or what? thanks in advance

People have said to use timeserts instead for headstuds.
