Default Question For The Tech Guys..........

Whats up i have a question....ive been searching about Lightweight flywheels on this site and alot of people say when u put a lightweight flywheel on in most cases it will make ur launches BOG like for drag racing due to the fact the flywheel is too light for the setup....Now my question is will a Toda Racing Lightweight Flywheel cause my setup here to bog when drag racing ??? one guy i read even said when he had a lightweight flywheel i forgot which brand he said he would literally launch at 7k and still BOG wtf ???

GSR Motor
Intake
DC 4-1 Header
Custom 2.5" Exhaust
Act 4 puck Clutch
Toda Racing Lightweight Flywheel

will the Toda Racing Flywheel BOG my setup on the launches????

No you wont bog with a 7K launch with a lightweight flywheel. Only unless you have 100hp to the wheels launching on 30" slicks. The weight of the flywheel determines the inertia that the crannk will spin at. Rotating mass is good to have in drag racing because rpms will stay higher during shifts. A lightweight flywheel will accelerate faster but will drop RPM's faster during shifts. I would say to stay around 10lbs for a flywheel. It will be good for street and strip use.
