do i have to use the ballast box like 6al to run the blaster external coil on my b18b?

 

No. You'll want a modified distributor cap to use the coil, though.

The instructions that come with the coil will have diagrams for installation with and without the ignition controller. It can also be found here:

Use the blaster coil instructions in addition to this one. The blaster instructions are a bit more informative. They both connect the same way. Just make sure to use the resistor as specified.

 

ok i bought it brand new, so it has instructions. i called MSD and they said i dont need the box. and fcm, u provided absolutely no help, thanks anyway
