Default MSD Digital SCI +

I bought the MSD Digital SCI+ ignition and Blaster SS coil for my 1994 JDM h22a. i was just wondering if i can use the external coil. Pardon my ignorance but can it be done? does anyone else have any other msd ignition control units and the blaster ss external coil on their obd/jdm preludes?

i believe jdm h22s use an internal coil so you would need to get a usdm distributor to run that ignition

You could wire up the ignition, but you couldn't use the MSD coil without converting..

msd makes an external coil adapter kit and you can even use your oem cap you just cut a hole in the spot for the where the external coil plug would go and they give you a little adapter thing so you don't have to do much wiring it really cool. im not sure where you can get it but if you get ahold of MSD im sure they can set you up

This is what I use. I got it from summit racing http://www.summitracing.com It was about 8 bux. You can also use the cap from a '90 accord. MSD makes a cap for the accord. I use the '90 accord OEM cap and use the power tower converter. You just drill a hole, and screw the power tower thru the hole. You have to make sure it has contact with the metal rod that pass to the coil. It is really simple.

Performance-wise the MSD coil won't make much difference, but it will provide a more powerfull spark than the stock coil.....It's lighter too, and you can mount it most anywhere...
