you'll have to at least bore it out .20 over........
and if you want, you can bore it out to make it a 2.0 engine.
Should be anywhere from $135 to $200 to get it bored out.
Resleeving is a whole diff story. Do you want to buy new sleeves?
You don't need to unless you're going to be pushing some serious HP
on that car.......just keep the stock and bore it.
Oh, and I wouldn't use those pistons again if I were you

You may want to look at the pic again. The sleeves are cracked, so boring just won't cut it.

We have had our engine shop do Darton MID's in blocks that have badly cracked sleeves. So yes you can sleeve that block.

Depending on how big the crack is it may not bore out. Plus the other problem you run into is the stock casting is already weakened if it has cracked. It would be better to re-sleeve the block so you know that it will be reliable on the rebuild. As long as the crack does not go all the way through the main area it can be re-sleeved with the MID kit.

I would never rebore a sleeve that had cracked before. I don't even know how you could rebore it. Just get the block resleeved.

No way, it's a crack. And a pretty significant one at that. A bore of 0.020 over won't cut it at all. That needs to be resleeved with OEM or aftermarket sleeves. For the price (if you don't want to eventually build the motor), I would just purchase a new block. If you are eventually going to build it for high power numbers, this first sleeving step, unfortunately, has been forced upon you.

Even if it wasnt cracked this wouldnt be a good idea.

Ok so it seems the block is good to be resleeved. What companys have you used and what are their turn around times and prices as well as quality. Any links to some sites would be nice.
