OKay, me and a buddy of mine just recently converted a 94 lx computer to a vtec capable ecu, added a socket and a custom p30 style chip he had laying around. Im also running a VAFC 'hack', and the car runs great. Crosses over when it shoul on the AFC and Rev limiter is right, definitely a good chip. The only problem is is when im at WOT at around 6500, the CEL comes on and throws a code 21 (VTEC Solonoid switch) , but it stays in vtec and still crosses over and runs the same (fine) even with the CEL. Its consistent and it only happens up high in the rpms like that...any ideas ?

Oh and by the way, i forget the coding of the ecu, but it was the easiest dx ecu to convert, and it only took a total of 6 mods if that helps...

Try another ecu that you know works

 

Sounds like a cheap *** chip. If you socketed the ECU and have the chip, why not use Uberdata or Crome..?

You probably chipped a P06.

 

Well, my motors going in on friday, and i just needed a chip to run this SOHC properly until then, then i planned on using CHROME. Any more insight on this would be helpful...
