Default ecu ?

can i run a vtec ecu on an ls motor? i need to get a higher rev limiter than the stock ecu and i dont have time to chip mine. please let me know if it is possible and the best one to use. it is an obd1 and it is turboed.

Yes it is possible, however you should be running a chipped vtec ecu that has a non-vtec program on it for your specific setup.

will i throw any codes using a vtec ecu? i am going to use crome eventually but havent had a chance to get everything to chip my ecu yet. plus i need to make sure it will run with windows vista as that is what is on my laptop.

Im pretty sure its going to throw a code. But what do you care as long as you know what it is. Would be much easier to set up crome though and set the rev limiter higher. Couldnt take you that much longer.
