Default Question on dented header

If you have a dent on the bottom of you header, is it unsafe to drive your car?

i dont see why it would be unsafe to drive on it. i have a dent on the bottom of my DC 4 into 1 and i have been driving on it for some time now.

Yea those damn DC 4-1 sit really low... Just about every one of my friends that have them have destroyed them and their cars aren't even really low... No problem drivin on it just might want to take it off if the runners get totally bent shut... If you could get a JDM ITR header that's the ideal setup... Honda set it up better when they ran the runners because they sit more diagonal then any of the DC's... JDM ITR

The runners are not shut completely, but the weird thing is that only one of the runners is dented pretty good. The dent extends about 5-8 inches. The car seems to be running perfect, but I'm just worried that it might be choking the engine. BTW, it is a DC 4-1 ceramic header (POS in my opinion).

Haha yea i know those DC ceramics don't hold up to well... Go just by what you think... If it looks to be closing off the runners then i would just pop a stock one or any other that you have for right now... The header is probably just shot if it's all the way smashed...

Yea, that's why I like the JDM ITR for that very reason... Besides being able to add the lower shields they were just designed better which keeps them sitting higher... The runners sit more diagonally which helps keep them up... Plus the JDM ITR is the best lookin I think... either with heat shields or not... Latez
