Default Question about valvetrain wear...

(I'm talking about a JDM OBD I B18C now)

From what I understand, oil pressure is less in the low cam 'range' than when the engine is in Vtec 'range' of the rpms. Is oil pressure constant below vtec and then a higher constant rate when in vtec? Or does the oil pressure rise from 750 - 4300rpms and then jump a lot at 4400 rpms and then climb from there after?

I just wanted to know if I run a higher chance of wearing out my valvetrain faster if I cruise on the freeway at 4000 rpms than if I cruise at 3400? Is there more oil flow at 4000 than at say like 2500 rpms?

I don't know....I would think that it's more or less linearly proportional to rpms.

Since I'm pretty sure the oiling system is designed to provide enough oil at any reasonable rpm, and since journal bearings don't rely so much on oil pressure from the pump but on oil pressure that they themselves create....I'm going to go ahead and say that more wear would occur at higher rpms, simply because it's all happening faster.
