Low oil pressure!
Recently ive been having low oil pressure on my boosted jdm b16. When warmed up at idle its at like 7psi and a 3k its at 42psi. At idle it use to be at 15 but dunno what happened. I also cant hear vtec might be me but it cant hear it or its really hard to hear. Is there a way to check if vtec is engaging? Also will low oil pressure cause loss in power? Car feels a little slower than how it use to.

Re: Low oil pressure!
instead of checking if vtec engages or not, check why your oil pressure is low.
1. oil pump
2. bearings
3. is there oil in the engine ?

9/10 times its the oil pump. When you start the car up from cold does your oil light stay on for longer the usual ? If so take the pump off and inspect it internally... Something probably pass through it and scored it badly.
