I got some B16a main caps today so I can install a block girdle in my B18a.
I haven't received the girdle yet (B16a)

The promble is the caps look excacly like my B18a ones I tought VTEC engines had different caps.
What do you think?

 

Pretty sure only the B18C1/5 come with a girdle. B16's dont' have them.

 

I think it's not a good idea to do that unless you have meassured the main cap bores and they are true and not out of round. if they are out of round get it bored to the correct roundness or you'll mess up your brand new bearings and could ruin your crankshaft the instant you turn the engine over.
