is the inner cv shaft that goes into the tranny (passenger side) supposed to have any play up or down. i just replaced my axle today because my outer joint seized up and pulled the axle out of the tranny. this had never happened to me before and i had never checked the play on the male end into the tranny for any movement but it seems to be locked in just moves up and down a little bit. ofcoarse the farther out on the cv u wiggle the more movement is noticed but when i checked the gear inside it didnt seem to move barely at all. any ideas?

i know that it has to have a little like 1/8 of an inch of play in and out but thats it.

 

ive pushed the hell outa it i would hope its in...ill try some more to get it farther in possibly. it doesnt leak oil and i know thats the not best gauging but its a start. thanks for the input any suggestions to get it in that much farther so its completely in or to get me where i need to be. ive never had this problem with getting them completely in before so im at a loss.
