I don't have a Civic, so this is sorta BS...

codes 41 & 65 are the heaters for the 2 different O2 sensors. It's not like 65 is 'also the O2 sensor'. It's really 'the OTHER O2 sensor'. Look for a wiring drawing for your car, check out those 2 heater circuits. Maybe they're powered off the same fuse??

I don't understand about that plate you're talking about. It almost sounds like maybe it's just a bracket to hold the wiring harness, not electrically connected to the harness at all??? Just in case it IS a ground, bolt or clamp it, or wire it to a good ground. Then clear your ECU, & see if your codes come back. It's possible that all 3 were caused by an open ground in the first place.

yes.... my haynes manual has diagrams. I looked at some b/c I was interested in where the speedo wires ran to...I still don't understand why my speedo doesn't operate properly, and mimics at tach at idle.
Thats why I don't see how it could be the 02s.
Replacing the ELD would fix these problems??

I will go check the wires and connections more in the daylight

Check the wiring drawings to see whether those O2 sensors & the ELD share the same ground. (Find out where that ground is & clean it up.) Otherwise, they could be unrelated problems.
