The gsr head has an open chamber design! It will yield very low compression, and I wouldn't suggest this, even for a turbo setup!

Agreed wholeheartedly. In fact I would go the other way around if possible and put the b16a head on the b18c1 block. The simple fact is that a b16 head is a better flowing head. I would try to find the b16 head, or maybe a CTR head, depending of what kind of cash your looking at.

I would keep the GSR cams because they are great for turbo. If you're not upgrading the throttle body, keep the GSR one since it's bigger than a B16's.

first of all, gsr head will yield HIGHER compression. Also putting a gsr head in a b16 is a great idea since the iab's will help midrange torque.
Also the flow differences are minimal....and a lot of people like gsr heads better, including me.
Go to IB website, they have a comparison between pr3 and p72 head and the gsr made more power...

You have that backwards buddy.. p72 head on a b16 block will yeild higher C/R then a stock b16 head..

Kenny Tran runs GSR cams on his 8 second Civic.

Check out the Forced Induction section.

Pros: higher compression, with revability of a B16

Cons: still torqueless, probably want to upgrade to Skunk2 manifold
