Probs with SPC camber adjustment
Short: Has anyone else had problems with the SPC adjustable balljoints? Mine "pop" whenever I put a large cornering load on them, and I think it's temporarily changing the camber and toe.
After installing them (months ago on my 93 Civic) I have this popping sound whenever I make a sharp turn at low speeds, like in a parking lot, or a wider turn at high speeds, like hauling *** on an off-ramp, and I think that it is the (now eccentric) balljoint rotating inside it's round hole. Normally, this wouldn't matter, but it is theoretically causing the camber and toe to change, slightly.
I removed them and reinstalled them with some epoxy, and after beating the **** out of the lip on the A-arm (to get some bite), but it only made it occur less often, without totally curing it. Any suggestions? Otherwise, I'm either going to limp back to stock or get some adjustable A-arms. Unpredictable dynamic toe and camber are not really cool, me thinks.
