Default Problems with vtec pressure solenoid.

my car has not been engaging into vtec, atleast i think thats whats going on. as im climbing up to where its suppose to engage as soon as it hits my vtec engage point it starts sputtering really bad, like i was lifting on and off the gas irratically or almost like a miss. also, while it was being tuned it started to do it and it threw a code for the vtec pressure solenoid or swith, cant remember but anyway, it was being tuned on crome. so i replaced the spool solenoid with a brand new one, still doing it. now, i figured what the hell, i just buy a brand new sensor, or should i buy the entire valve body too?
another thing, i did research and founs that some other people would jump the solenoid and swith wire in order to make the code go away. could this be my problem? or could i not be getting enough oil pressure. my gauge always read high oil pressure. at full throttle and around 6k when the car ran good, i was seeing around 65-75 psi maybe a lil higher. could it be from me using the GE vtec convo kit that utilized the larger oil line from the oil adapter to the head? i know its alot of questions but im just trying to see what others think. i dont wanna buy a whole new vtec valvebody and sensor and it not be my problem that could have been fixed by swapping a wire.
