I have a 88 crx obd1 converted running d16z6 turbo, runs good (no cel's) on p28's socketed.

I have tryed a p30 socketed usdm and get a cel 14 for iacv
I tryed a p30 jdm socketed and get a cel 13 and 14 for map and iacv

is there something different with the wiring i have to do to run a p30 on a d16z6 motor?

You really shouldnt be running into any issues like your describing unless the ecu is actually damaged. Try it on another vehicle...
