Default Problems with car

Alright, i've been having problems with my o2 sensor. When connected it cause my engine to stumble and idles rough. Disconnect it runs fine. Now I check my 0bd2 to obd1 conversion kit and it has the wires for the o2. So now im trying to narrow down the problems. Can having no cat at all affect the o2?( even though the o2 sensor is before the cat). Am i supposed to use the integra sensor or the civic? I did a search on this problem and most of them have the same problems, but i tried everything that they said and still noting.

I have aem cam gears, I/H/E.
