problem with hondata! help
i installed my hondata on my 99 civic ex with an 00 b16 swap. we put the chip into the p28 comp hooked up the hondata and all it does is blinck the light. i heard that if the light does not stay on solid then the hondata has not yet connected to the computer. What would cause this. tried other p28's, interface boxes, and even jumper harnesses. the hondata is a stage 2 with boost option
Here is a part from the S200 Installation manual, which you can download from hondata. Here is the link: http://www.hondata.com/downloads.html
The interface box LED is flashing slowly
The problem lies with the Hondata interface box not being able to communicate with the ECU. Possible causes for this problem:
• Incorrect ROM used for the ECU.
• ROM inserted the wrong way around.
