Default problem with chipped ecu

i have a p28. just chipped it like two days ago. i can't rev pass 4k and check engine light is on. have i royally screwed up? i just cut the j1 jumper hoping that it will now work right. also will a venom control module make the vtec act up? my car seems sluggish even with a custom 2 1/2 exhaust with 4-2-1 ceramic coated headers, a high flow cat, cold air intake, apc wires, and ngk vpower plugs. any info is greatly thanked.

The ECU is in limp mode because there is a problem with the chip or the soldering. Can you take a picture of both sides of the ECU and post it here? The 2 1/2 inch exhaust and the CAI will make a stock engine seem sluggish because you will lose low end torque. Check the resistance of the plug wires. Remember APC=Another Piece of Crap.

i would take the pics, but my digital camera is down. i think it was the soldering, but if i cut the j1 jumper will it go back to norm? i will just have to take it to someone who can solder a lot better than me. it may just need to have the solder gone back over it. and even though i lose the low end i really don't pick up much top end, not to mention i have been having prob with the plug and the 3rd cylinder. i have fouled it maybe 2 or 3 times and i have ran colder and hotter ngk plugs. so i think it may be a combination of the rotor button, dist cap, and the wires. thanks

If you cut J1, yes, should revert back to stock program.

you definitely need proper equipment in order to solder printed circuits.
