Default p28 chip problem

hello,i've just chipped an p28 and when i put the jumper it doesn't take the map and the check engine light stays on,other strange thing is when i take out the jumper to run the stock map, when i put the ignition on the check engine does a quick blink, not like it should do with a stock ecu.i've tried with other chipped ecu and it works.

What chip are you using and are you sure of the quality of the socket/solder work?

the chip itself works on the other ecu,i've desoldered and solder it again, still the same problem.the single clue is that quick flashing check engine light when i put the ignition with the jumper off.with the jumper on it runs in safe mode and the check engine doesn't go off

What are you using for tuning software and hardware? Do you have any hardware to connect the chipped ECU to a laptop?

Have you tried checking for diagnostic codes on the ECU both with and without the jumper?

The ECU is most likely toast. About 10+ years ago during my first socket install / VTEC conversion I screwed up and ruined my ECU. It was doing exactly what you say yours is. Some people say there is no way it could of happened but I learned my lesson and moved on - and I never let it happened again.
