Problem with AEM Cam Gears!
We got the GSR cams, cam gears, springs, retainers, and new timing belt, in. Then we hooked up the wideband to head to the dyno. Started it up, and had to shut it down right away, beacause of an odd, (scary), noise! Off comes the valve cover to see WTF was going on. It turns out to be the Cam Gear adjusting bolts stuck out the backside of the gears just enough to cause them to rub on the inner timing cover. By the time we took it apart, and modified the cover, and put back together, we ran out of time to get to the dyno.
With the gears installed at "0-0", the butt-o-meter said Yea Baby! Can't wait to get over to the dyno and dial in the rest of the ponies with the gears! (End of next week

)That sucks, man.
That almost sucks as bad as their 86-89 Integra cam gears that have the timing marks in the wrong spot!

I laid the stock gear on top of the AEM gear to make the marks (black lines are where they should be). They were off by a half tooth!! (About 9 degrees)

I saw that in your other thread. What a bunch of BS! I was waiting for that to happen with mine, but they lined up fine. Still ended up being a big pain in the ****!
