Primary O2 Sensor bad, need ideas!
Currently I am throwing a code 61 (bad primary o2 sensor). This came on about a week and a half after installing my Prospeed Header / test pipe and secondary o2 sensor simulator.
The header leaned the car out considerably, actually changing the plugs from pitch black to white and slightly pitted within minutes.
There are a couple of options that I was thinking.
A - I am running too lean therefore it is giving the code.
B - Possibly something with the Secondary o2 sensor simulator is messing with the ECU too much.
C - After bottoming out one too many times (maybe 4 or 5 times) the o2 sensor is pissed at me.
Right now I am not even in the good ol' USA so I cant check my car, but I have been thinking about it considerably and would like to get some ideas.
Can running too lean throw that code?

Code 61 is 'slow response' of the primary O2 sensor. So therefore...
A - NO. Lean shouldn't cause that code.
B - NO. 2nd sensor isn't supposed to mess with 1st.
C - Maybe that's the real cause???
I suppose it can be simply the sensor is old, maybe bottoming out didn't do it. But you're still gonna want to get a new sensor.

2nd sensor shouldnt thats true, i have just been "told" by people that there is experiance with the secondary o2 simulators jacking with it all.
since i am not using the secondary can i use that to replace the primary?
thank you for the response by the way.
